Nook Folly Garden

Here is my third installment of Nooks and Niches entitled the Nook Folly Garden. It consists mainly of Lego type building blocks that will allow you to create everything from tiered landscaping and herb rockeries to formal manor house gardens and gothic follies (when combined with the nooks and niches). I have no doubt that you could create some fantastic modern gardens with it too or very simply some lawn borders.

The ground pieces can be grabbed on the four outer corners, shift up and down with Al or be placed on an omsp (any will do I think), then recoloured to fit the space. Basically, you have to play around with this to see what works best for you but its all pretty straightforward and only requires cheats for placing the poolborders.

The step cover can slide over existing low modular stairs and the side steps are decorative with lots of slots for pretty things.

I have also included 3 more recolours using in game wall textures that I thought particularly fitting. There is a separate collection file which I highly suggest you use. The in game walls that I could find are included for convenience.

NB. The Fence cannot be included in the collection file. If you play the game and do not want your sims walking through brick walls you will need this so please take note!

This is a slave set so for the textures to show up you must have the master from Nooks and Niches if you haven't got it already.

Ps, at the last minute I have decided not to include the 2 water tiles as I do want to work on them a bit more.

That's it I guess. Play and enjoy!

  32. I could have sworn I commented here last Saturday. Perhaps I should start questioning my mental health (even more). :P

So what thought I'd posted then is that I think this set is pretty much perfect. I'm going to get so much use out of all these pieces in my medieval game. You're the best, Nat.

  37. BB, thank you VERY much for this entire Nooks & Niches set. The garden pieces are the perfect completer to an outstanding build set.

I have been using it on a number of lots and my only concern comes with the ground tiles. The ground tiles in the DL all curve to the right, but none to the left. This creats a bit of difficulty when attempting symmetry. Ex: I built a wall display with garden and fountains extending out. On either side of the pillers I put the slightly elevated ground tiles to cover space between the pillars and the low border. While the ground tile worked great on the left side, there was not an equivalent for the right side.

Also, waiting (trying to) patiently for those nifty water tiles. Yeah, Baby!

    Again... THANK YOU!!!!

  38. Thankyou all so much for all your enthusiasm over the set!

I seem to have forgotten about the left side groundcover (it would probably be easier to flip the mesh rather than doing an extra bunch of left sided recolours). I'll do that and then post it here underneath the main download.

  39. why you dont let s3 conversion? i mean.. i dont think all would be bad.. i think there are some good creator who could convert your items just well.

  44. The set is beautiful but unfortunately missing when I download it , the water recolor of the ground tiles ?!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Thankyou.

I did say they weren't included in the wall of text under the picture but it may be a lot to read.
Basically, I didn't include the water tiles since for the size of the files (which came to all of the set put together and then some) they simply just weren't up to a standard I would feel comfortable sharing.

  46. Ohh...sorry I've overlooked. I've really missed , too bad ! I hope they will at some point ready to upload ;-)

  48. Would it be okay to update your Box links to Mediafire? Sorry, but NONE of the Boxed links work. I waited until the first of the month and nothing happened. Any tips?
